5 players to watch out for in Ranji Trophy 2018-19 – The 85th edition of the Ranji Trophy is around the corner because the mega event is going to start from November 1. This year’s List-A tournament, the Vijay Hazare Trophy, was organized before the Ranji Trophy and ended with lifting the title of Mumbai.

Ranji Trophy will last for more than three months due to the increase of nine teams in this season. The 37 participants have been distributed in four groups and each team is expected to play in 8 or 9 group-stage matches.
As a result, there are so many cricket to be played in the tournament, so players consider it an opportunity to come into the limeight and later break into the national team. In the event of participating with almost all the top players of the country, there are many public attentions.

5.Shreyas Iyer :-
After the successful Vijay Hazare Trophy, Shreyas Iyer made a fabulous century for India B in the final of the Deodhar Trophy. However, he was not enough for his side as the defeat of the match.
He is constantly contributing to Mumbai in all formats and can also be one of his match winners in the Ranji Trophy.
Iyer has played six ODIs and T20Is for India so far.
4. Parvez Rasool :-
Jammu and Kashmir skipper, Parvez Rasool, was earlier this year awarded as Best All-rounder in Ranji Trophy for his consistently good performances in the tournament.
He has won this award twice and could continue his run in the upcoming Ranji Trophy as well. He bowls off-spin while bats in the middle-order for J&K.
Parvez had a good outing in the Duleep Trophy as well, which was held in August this year.
3. Shubman Gill :-
Punjab’s right-handed batsman was born, Shubman Gill also had a great Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 418 runs in seven matches in 60 matches. He followed up with an unbeaten century for India C in the Deodhar Trophy.
Shubhaman was also the hero of India U-19 in the 2018 World Cup. Since then he is producing many swashbuckling performances.
To get the national call-ups, he wants to make many runs in the Ranji Trophy.
2. Shahbaz Nadeem :-
The most successful bowler in the domestic arena currently, Shahbaz Nadeem, finished the Vijay Hazare Trophy as the top wicket-taker, scalping 24 wickets in nine matches under the economy of 3.86.
On the back of his consistent performances for Jharkhand, he was rewarded with a national call-up for the West Indies T20Is. How he bowls at the highest level would be quite interesting to see.
Meanwhile, Shahbaz would be one of the top bowlers playing this year’s Ranji Trophy.
1. Gautam Gambhir :-
Veteran Indian batsman Gautam Gambhir showed some form in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, as South matches scored more than 500 runs in 10 matches.
He helped Delhi get to the finals of the tournament, however, could not help him cross the line in the final. He contributed to the top of almost all of the matches and also made some centuries.
Gambhir has been out of the Indian team since 2016, and many people believe he can not return. However, their recent numbers are telling a different story.
