8. Delhi Capitals (DC) :-
Rishabh Pant and Ankush Bains are two wicketkeepers in the Delhi Capitals team. 21-year-old Pant will be the preferred choice for Delhi-based franchisees. Uttarakhand-born players are currently one of the country’s best left-hand talents.
In 38 matches played so far in the IPL, Pant has scored 1248 runs at an average of 35.66 and a spectacular strike rate of 162.71.
Even though his batting form is not the best at the moment, but he is fantastic behind the stumps. Pant recently made a record of taking the most catches (11) by an Indian wicketkeeper in a Test match (Adelaide Test against Australia).
His batting score was 36 and 30 in Perth Test, while he was 25 and 28 in the Adelaide Test. Young wicketkeepers-batsmen are hoping for the former in the upcoming international matches and will turn their start into a big knock.
The 23-year-old Ankush Bains has a good first-class record and this will be Delhi’s back-up option.
7. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) :-
Heinrich Klassen and Parthiv Patel are two wicketkeepers in the Royal Challengers Bangalore team.
Parthiv Patel has the experience of playing in the IPL. The 33-year-old played for the last time in India A when he went against New Zealand A and he scored 94 and took a catch in that match. The best backup of the Indian national team will make its mark in the upcoming IPL season.
Henrik Klassen is another good option for RCB. The 27-year-old has played six T20s for South Africa and scored a total of 144 with a good strike rate of 169.41.
Pretoria-born players are also very quiet and pressurized. While playing for Titans in the four-day franchise series, Klassen scored 63 and 40 in the first and second innings, respectively, and also took two catches in a recent match against the knights.
6. Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) :-
Kings XI Punjab spent a total of Rs 9 crore in buying auctioned Nicholas Pooran and Prabhsimran Singh. Lokesh Rahul is his retired wicketkeeper. 26-year-old Lokesh Rahul’s fantastic IPL career. In 53 matches, the Karnataka-born player has played, he has scored 1384 runs at an average of 38.44 and a strike rate of 139.38.
In the recent days, Rahul’s form has been Topsy-Turvy. The Punjab-based franchise will hope that he can get his form soon because he played a great role in the team for the last time. Rahul was also the third highest scorer (highest for Punjab) because he scored 659 runs in 14 matches played in last season. Apart from this, Rahul also made a record of making the fastest half-century in the previous IPL, when he scored 50 runs in 14 balls against Delhi.
23-year-old Nicolas Pooran is also a very exciting prospect. The West Indies have done some fantastic performances in the Caribbean Premier League and will also shine in the IPL.
Prabhsimran Singh is a new child of the block which forms an idol of Virender Sehwag. The 18-year-old has got a great chance to play in the IPL and he will also show off his aggressive batting whenever he gets the chance.
5. Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) :-
Jonny Bairstow, Wriddhiman Saha and Shreevats Goswami are three wicket-keeper batsmen who will be available for the Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2019 IPL.
The 29-year-old Englishman, Bairstow, was selected by franchisee in Rs 2.2 crores. The right-handed batsman has a lot of experience playing for the national team in all three formats. He also hit a fine century against Sri Lanka in a Test match in November. The Bradford-born player must calculate his experience for a franchisee based in Hyderabad.
Wriddhiman Saha has the experience of playing in the IPL. Saha has scored 1679 runs at an average of 24.33 and a strike-rate 129.85 in 115 matches played in India’s domestic T20 extravaganza.
After the disappointing campaign in the previous edition, the experienced wicketkeeper will be rearing to bounce back in the coming edition. For Sunrise behind the stump, Shreevats Goswami will be the last option as the 29-year-old is in bad form.
4. Mumbai Indians (MI) :-
Ishaan Kishan and Aditya Tare were two wicketkeepers who had retained the franchise of Mumbai for the upcoming IPL season.
Meanwhile, Quinton de Kock, 26-year-old , was traded with Royal Challengers Bangalore and this is another valuable addition. South African player has a lot of experience playing in the IPL and he also performs well in the domestic T20 league of India – who scored 927 runs in 34 matches at an average of 28.09. The young player did a good outing with Blitz in the Mzansi Super League, in which he managed to score two half-centuries and a hundred in eight matches.
Ishan Kishan led India in the finals of the 2016 Under-19 World Cup. As a batsman and wicketkeeper, the 20-year-old has consistently improved. Currently playing for Ranji Trophy for Jharkhand, the youngster has done three fifties in his last four innings and eight catches (against service and Uttar Pradesh) in two games behind the stumps.
31-year-old Aditya, who plays for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy, has done some half-centuries and a century in the last six first-class matches. However, his form has been far from consistent and there are also many low scores the experienced wicketkeeper will not be too proud of. If he wants to become a proper back-up option for Mumbai Indians, then Aditya should do his best.
3. Knight Riders (KKR) :-
KKR retained both Dinesh Karthik and Robin Uthappa, the main wicketkeeper in the team. Dinesh has done a brilliant IPL last time and delivered the team to the playoffs. He was the highest scorer batsman for KKR because he scored 498 runs in 16 matches with an average of 49.80 and a strike rate of 147.77.

Robin Uthappa played some good matches for Kolkata based franchise in last season, but he was still away from his best performance. The Karnataka-born player scored 351 runs in 16 matches and the numbers will improve significantly in the coming season.
Nikhil Naik will be a backup wicket keeper in the team.
2. Rajasthan Royals (RR) :-
Prashant Chopra, Sanju Samson and Jos Buttler for three Rajasthan Royals are available for three wicketkeeping options.
Hailing from Trivandrum, Sanju is one of the emerging wicketkeepers in the country. The 24-year-old was very effective with the previous season because he scored 441 runs in 15 matches with an average of 31.50 and a strike rate of 137.81.
Jos Butler is also an important player in the Rajasthan Royals machine. The last time a English stroke maker was a delightful season was because he scored 548 runs in 13 matches with a strike rate of 54.80 and a strike rate of 155.24.
In fact, Buttler was the highest run-getter for the Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2018. Both Sanju and Buttler will be of paramount importance for the team this time around as well so the Royals fans should keep a keen eye for them.
Prashant Chopra, who is enjoying a decent form in first-class cricket for Himachal Pradesh, is an able back up option in the team.
1. Chennai Super Kings (CSK) :-

Captain Cool led the Chennai franchise for his third title and is looking to ensure that his team wins. Tamil Nadu youth player N Jagadeesan will work as a backup option for CSK.
Sam Billings had forgotten the IPL last season. The English are not in the best form at present and they will need to brush in their batting soon, if they want to make it to the last playing XI this time.
Ambati Rayudu had done a brilliant IPL last season and scored 602 runs with an average of 43.00 and a strike rate of 149.75. The 33-year-old CSK was the last player to make the most runs and could have worked as a wicketkeeper when needed.
